Having observed the industry for decades, Bradford watched as the local monument industry in Elberton contracted from over 280 firms to just 29 active, high-volume establishments. The bottleneck was rarely material or demand; it was the availability of skilled human hands capable of intricate carving.

In late 2023, while touring a facility crippled by a 42-day backlog for custom angel memorials, the concept crystallized. Stone carving required a transition from manual reliance to digital predictability. CarveWorks was founded on the strict belief that technology should serve the existing fabricator, not compete with them. We refuse to sell directly to consumers. We are not here to replace the monument shop; we exist to act as their specialized, high-tech backroom.

Standard 5-axis CNC routers are restricted in their approach angles, making deep undercuts and complex drapery impossible without manual finishing. CarveWorks utilizes industrial 7-axis robotic arms, offering unlimited articulation. This allows the spindle to reach beneath overlapping stone elements, replicating the exact techniques of a master sculptor.

We combine this hardware with a proprietary AI-refined digital sculpting bureau, capable of reconstructing heavily weathered scans into pristine toolpaths.
